Credit Your Wallet

In order to trade with your Quantum Wallet, you will need to credit your wallet which was created during the registration process. You can credit your wallet by making a deposit into any of the bank accounts below; Quantum Wallet currently does not accept credit cards or cheques as payment. Please take note of the deposit fees which will be charged to your wallet.

Payment/Deposit Reference:

Please use either your Member ID OR the cellphone number you registered on Quantum Wallet as the payment reference to assist us with processing your deposit. The Quantum Wallet system will automatically process your deposit, provided that the payment/deposit reference that you specify when making the payment is correct. Please contact the helpdesk if your deposit has not been processed.

 

Examples of valid deposit references:

  • If you use your Member ID, and your Member ID is 5678, then please ONLY use the number 5678 as the deposit reference. Do NOT include any other text.
  • If you use your cellphone number that you registered with, and your cellphone number is 0831234567, then please ONLY use the number 0831234567 as the deposit reference.

Including other information, such as your name, will only slow down the processing of your deposit.


 

Important information about bank deposits:

  • There is no minimum deposit amount.

  • Please be advised that each bank charges handling fees for deposits. Deposit fees will be charged to your Quantum Wallet.

  • Deposits are credited to your Quantum Wallet as soon as funds have been received and notification is received from the bank (proof of payment is not accepted).

  • Deposits from the same bank are typically processed automatically within a few minutes (see following point about FNB deposits)

  • Inter-bank transfers can take up to 2 working days depending on the bank and time of the transfer (please verify with your bank).  

  • FNB account holders: FNB will only send automated deposit notifications for deposits larger than R100.00. This will impact the turn-around time for processing deposits. Please contact the helpdesk if your wallet has not been credited and you believe the funds should have been received by the Quantum Wallet system.

  • A confirmation SMS will be sent to your cellphone after your wallet has been credited (provided you selected this option during registration). An SMS notification fee will be charged to your wallet.
